* The integration with Salesforce is a paid add-on.

Besides mapping specific products to quote builder or quote builder sections, you can also match opportunity product fields with specific quote builder columns.

You can also filter products from Salesforce and map them to specific quote builder and quote builder sections. Open this page to find out how.

Enable column mapping

Column mapping needs to be configured on a template level. By default, data merge for column mapping is enabled for all newly added quote builder blocks in your templates. You can easily verify this by looking at the top-left corner of the quote builder block, where you will find a label 'Data merge is on' if it is enabled.

If data merge is disabled for a quote builder block in the template you're using to create documents from HubSpot:

  1. Then, select a quote builder you’d like to set column mapping for, or add a new one.

  2. Select properties on the floating panel.

  3. On the right, select Set up data merge.

  4. Next, access the data merge in quote builder settings on the right and click Enable.

Set up column mapping

In the data merge pop-up, select Product field mapping.

Next, below the CRM/API COLUMN NAME heading, enter the field names from Salesforce (on the left) to be matched with quote builder columns names (on the right).

The Salesforce field name can be any of the default opportunity product field names — Name, Description, Price, SKU, QTY, Discount, Tax — and it’s crucial that you spell the name exactly as it’s spelled here.

Note:

Contract term cannot be mapped to any opportunity product field.

The field name can also be any other opportunity product field and it’s important that you enter the correct name in PandaDoc. Here’s how to find it:

  1. Go to Salesforce app launcher at the top left, then search for and select PandaDoc Setup.

  2. Find the Configure tokens button, then click on it.

  3. At the top, select Opportunity Product. You’ll find the correct field name highlighted in yellow on the right. Make sure you use it without square brackets.

  4. On the left, select the checkboxes of the fields that need to be added to the quote builder.

  5. Finally, click Save on the right.

If you’d like to map more quote builder columns, start by adding them to the quote builder by clicking on the quote block to access editing mode and then select the Add column button on the right side.

Then, access the data merge rules via Product field mapping. You’ll see the newly added columns on the right. Now enter the field name from Salesforce on the left and click on the Save button.

And that’s it! Whenever you create a document from Salesforce using this template, the product fields will populate the corresponding columns.
