This article will guide you through the process of pulling product descriptions from Pipedrive into PandaDoc pricing tables using a custom field.

To begin, follow these steps to create a custom field for your products in Pipedrive:
Click on your profile picture located in the top-right corner and select Personal preferences, then choose Data fields
Add the custom field at the product level by clicking Add custom field
Add field name, for example, Product description, then select field type Large text
Check the needed options under Places where shown
Finally, click on Save.
Note:
This action is available only to Pipedrive admin users and users with the correct permission set enabled.
Warning:
Ensure that you setup a custom field name other than "Description".
Now, proceed to the Products tab, then click on the gear icon on the right, and add your custom field to the product view. Next, add your product description to the column.
All is set! Now you can create your document from the Pipedrive and the product description will appear under hidden columns in the pricing table.
If needed, you can also use column mapping in case you need to pass the product description to the Name column:
Troubleshooting
My description is not passed
Make sure that the field name is correct in the column mapping. To verify the correct name, create a document from the Pipedrive deal and check the name under hidden columns in your pricing table.
Additionally, confirm that you have created a custom field for your description as per the guide provided above.
