Use document value to see or adjust the total value of your document.

Skip to:

Access Document value settings

Open your template/document, at the top click the $ icon to open the Document value settings. Here you will have options for:

  • Currency and formatting

  • Source: Custom amount or Pricing Table/Quote builder

  • Amount

  • Document value variable

All new documents, templates, content library items, and forms you create will have the Default workspace currency settings. However, you'll need to manually update the document value currency in the previously created content.

Set Document value

You can set the Document value amount manually by selecting "Custom amount" as a source and typing the document value you need.

Alternatively, you can select "Document total" as the source and select Pricing tables/Quotes added to your document to calculate document value based on the pricing table/quote total(s). Make sure that the Document value currency matches the pricing table/quote currency.

Once you add a Document value, it will show up at the top of the document, in the document list, and will add up to other documents in the same status in the Workspace activity tab on Home page.

Document value variable

To auto-place document value anywhere in the document body, use the Document Value variable - [Document.Value]. You can find it under System Variables in the variables list or in the Document value settings.

Note:

The Document value currency must match your default currency to be recorded on Workspace activity/ Reporting.

Document value and Workspace activity

Stay up-to-date with Document value displayed in the Team Dashboard tab on Home page for each document status:

Note:

Users with a member role don’t have access to workspace activity.

Troubleshooting

My document shows a 0 value on the Workspace activity

Make sure that the Document value currency matches the pricing table/quote builder currency in case you select the pricing table/quote builder as a source of the Document value. The value will be 0 in case the currency doesn't match.
